Avenger Robotics believes first and foremost in making learning fun. FIRST Robotics is an experience of a lifetime. FIRST competitions create positive environments of learning, play, and relationship building.
Avenger Robotics runs on volunteers. The African proverb "it takes a village to raise a child" has never been more true. Robotics is a team effort for the students, and more importantly, those who want to see them succeed.
FIRST alumni are 2.6 times more likely to enroll in engineering as college freshman, and over 75 % more likely to be in a STEM field as a student or professional.

Girls in STEM
The AvengerRobotics program is dedicated to giving girls in middle school a firsthand experience of what it is like to be a woman in STEM. We have guest speakers come in and explain what it feels like to be a woman in STEM in their jobs. We also have activities where certain speakers led experiments relevant to their career.
During STEM nights we welcome everybody to learn more about science and technology. This elementary school event gives kids an opportunity to explore multiple aspects of science. Our team runs the robotics booth where we let elementary school children drive small robots.
Career Tech Fair
This fair is hosted in Lanier Tech and opens up opportunities for middle school students moving into high school. Students get to explore the various career pathways offered in high schools throughout the county as well as clubs like FIRST. We represented FIRST Robotics, explained all of the key assets of the program to middle school students, and showed them our robot.
